The +Thread Adapter L is made to connect to the Grease Box GX-U (sold separately) to compatible grills with a 1-1/4” threaded spout only. It is not intended for non-threaded grease spouts, different thread sizes, or universal-fit applications.

The +Thread Adapter L works with Lone Star Grillz models with a threaded vertical under-mount grease spout, as well as Pitts & Spitts grills with a 45-degree grease spout. Its flexible design allows for proper placement beneath the grill while creating a clean, secure, and custom-looking grease management setup.

Made from durable 18-gauge steel with a high-temperature-rated powder coat finish, the +Thread Adapter L is built for long-lasting performance and dependable outdoor use.

Installation Options

The Grease Box GX-U can be installed with the +Thread Adapter L in two ways:

1. Direct Connection
   The +Thread Adapter L connects directly to the Lone Star Grillz 1-1/4” threaded grease spout without a shut-off ball valve, creating a clean fit against the grill apron.

2. Connection with Shut-Off Ball Valve
   The +Thread Adapter L can also be used with a size-specific shut-off ball valve and close-threaded pipe to fit within the grill cart. For Pitts & Spitts angled spouts, the +Hardware P&S kit is required and sold separately.

Important Fitment Notes

This adapter is designed to fit 1-1/4” threaded grease spouts only. Please verify your grill’s grease spout size and thread type before purchasing.

Due to variations in shut-off ball valves, the Grease Box may not work with every shut-off valve. A properly sized ball valve may be purchased separately if needed.

For Pitts & Spitts grills, the +Hardware P&S kit is required and sold separately.

The Grease Box GX-U attaches to the +Thread Adapter L using the provided hardware and includes a threaded close nipple for connection to compatible shut-off valves.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean the Grease Box after each use. For best results, apply a protectant lubricant as needed to help maintain cleanliness, proper function, and rust prevention.

Compatibility Notice

The Grease Box is compatible with the El Fuego model, but modification to the firebox handle may be required for easier removal.

The Grease Box is not compatible with Lone Star Grillz models that have less than 16.5” of clearance from the grill belly to the bottom rack.

Please verify fitment before purchasing. Customers are responsible for return shipping on orders placed for non-compatible grills.

Additional Notes

Shut-off valves and threaded extension pipes are third-party products and do not carry a warranty. Teflon tape is recommended as needed during installation.
